Driver's Ed - Classroom Instruction

Our 8 hour class instruction plus 6 hours of behind the wheel driving  meets all of the requirements of the SCDMV needed to obtain a driver's license.  It also meets the requirements for a Safe Driver Insurance Discount.                                                 
Total Cost for Training: $395 (8 hr. class - 6 hr. behind the wheel)
Classroom: $235 (to be paid the day of the class) 
Lunch, snacks and drinks are offered at no charge.                 
6 Hours Behind the wheel: $160 This rate is for students doing the entire training.

• If Additional time is needed the rate will be at $45 per hour.

Permit testing - Free if you do the complete teen training. *$35 for non-students.

*DMV Approved Road Test - $45 for students doing full program

$65 for adults

Teen students - At the end of the training your student will receive a PDLA form (if under 17) and an Insurance Discount Certificate. The PDLA form is required by the DMV. It will be signed by a Precious Cargo Safety Officer, the school the student attends and the parent. The Insurance Discount Certificate issued will be good until the student is in their early 20’s. Make sure to put it safe place. Duplicate Certificates can be reproduced at a cost of $15 each.

Behind the wheel

We train our students in a Scion xb equipped with a dual brake. We have found that the visibility and ease of handling make this an excellent vehicle to learn in.
